Yesterday Mark, Jess, Jayme and I went to watch Stardust. It’s a great movie. It’s different from alot of the movies which have come out recently. I really enjoyed watching it. There was love, action, magic, jokes. Awesome actors. It was a pretty good movie all round. Tristan was my favourite character. I liked his transformation from boy to man. From someone who thought he knew what love was to someone who was truely inlove.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest
July 16, 2006
Last night Mark took me out for our 2 year anniversary. He took me to Gold Class at Greater Union and we watched Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. I liiked the movie. You definently need to watch the first one to understand whats going on though, because Mark hadnt watched the first one and had no idea what was happening. Johnny Depp is hot as Captain Jack Sparrow and so is Orlando Bloom as Will Turner. Captain Jack Sparrow is my favourite character though. The ending is kinda crap though becuase it doesnt really finalise anything. There definently has to be a 3rd movie comming to finish the story. Otherwise the movie is shit and I’m gonna be very annoyed, lol.
1140hrs: there is gonna be another one! wohoo

I love Superman (oh la la too Clark Kent from Smallville), but this superman just didnt do anything for me. The story wasnt that great. I like Kevin Spacey as Lex Luther though. He was cool. I dont think its worth paying the $13.50 to see it at the cinemas. Its worth watching it on video though. Mark and I both agree that there is soo gonna be a next episode. Mark thinks its a pitty that even though it got filmed in Australia, you wouldnt know it. I personally think that you start suspecting it was filmed in Australia when you see Ian Roberts (former Rugby league player and dancing with the stars reject, now turned actor) getting crushed to death by a big krystal.

Ange: What did you think of x-men mark?
Mark: i wasnt a fan, but then again im never a fan of those kind of movies.
Ange: what do u mean when u say “those kind of movies”?
Mark: with 97% special affects.
Angela: so do u reckon it had no substance?
Mark: thats a good way of putting it. but its a comic book story. it doesnt have to have substance, it just has to stay true to the comic.
Ange: what did u think of the special affects?
Mark: they were pretty good. they were pretty spiffy, but there was just too much of it. and i think they went a bit insane with them. they went crazy.

ok, i’ve decided to do reviews of all the movies that mark and i have seen recently. starting with Cars.
I havent been hearing great things about the movie Cars, but mark and I thought it was a great movie! definently worth watching. However, maybe not for the more mature crowd. Its definetly a kids movie. Some kids movies have alot of jokes that are directed at the adult crowd too, this movie only had a few. I loved it though. The best scene I reckon, by far, was the tractor tippin’ one!

Today I went and saw Memoirs of a Geisha with my bestest buddies Lauren and Carol. It was a really beautiful movie. It was sad at times, I even cried! I loved it and so did my friends. I like movies set in Japan. Japan is beautiful. Hehe, before the movie I even had Japanese food for lunch! All in all it was a nice movie. It’s kind of a chick flick, hence the absence of Mark, lol.

The Chronicles of Narnia; the lion, the witch and the wardrobe
January 8, 2006
Ack! Can’t believe I nearly forgot to do my review on the movie; The Chronicles of Narnia; the lion, the witch and the wardrobe. I think I went and saw it the same day it was realeased. Which I think was boxing day! Damn boxing day haze clouds my mind. Anyway the movie was fantastical, the cinema was packed. It was packed with people of every age group. *sigh* I remember when I was litte (I should stop deluding myself, I was never little) younger and I read the book over and over again. I remember watching the tv show of it on the ABC. I remember them showing the tv show during recess in primary school and rushing to the library before they stopped letting people in. I remember dreaming of Aslan the super big kitty. I remember thinking Edmund was an ass and that I never would just go and have “tea” with a weird looking goat person (aka the faun). I remember thinking that Susan was a winey biatch. Ahhh, sigh, the memories.
So yeah. The movie was good. Especially if you like big kitty cats.

I watched The Brothers Grimm today at the cinemas at Burwood. The movie was good, but Burwood is a hole. The movie has spunky Matt Damon and Heath Ledger in it, oh la la. Mark’s in love with Matt Damon now instead of the other dude, whatshisface…..can’t remember his name. I could google for it, but I’m not that interested in finding out.
Anyway…..the movie was good. It’s not the best freaking movie I have ever seen, but it was worth seeing at the cinema.

I’m frizzin (freezing) cold. I was sitting here with the window open (ahuh, I’m a smart cookie) and now my hands are all numb and I can’t really feel my face.
If you havent noticed I made a new layout. If you visited me while I was changing layouts, sorry, because everything was abit everywhere. Everything is in its place now. So yes..new layout. I made everything on it except for the font. Cool ay? I’ve been vectoring lately. I made the nurse (that you can see in the post below) and I fixed up the rock chick girl that I made before (which is the one on my banner atm). I think I’m getting better. I’m open to positive criticism, lol. Kris thinks the hair looks weird, but Carla and Mark thought it was good. I thought it was okay, but now I’m not quite sure.
I cant wait till the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie comes out. I love that story. I love the old movie of it too! I hope the new one is just as good or even better!

I didnt like (Ba) Sin City. It was too violent. And just because its in black and white (mostly) and you cant see the blood and guts in all their colourful glory doesnt make it any less violent. I didnt enjoy it, I’m not even going to bother scanning in the ticket stub like I usually do.
